Hon. Richard S. Flier (Ret.) has settled or conducted trials dealing with the full spectrum of legal issues during his twenty years as a Superior Court Judge. His career included three separate assignments as a Civil Fast Track judge handling up to 25% of all Civil Litigation in Contra Costa County.
After leaving the Bench in 2005, Judge Flier has worked with ADR Services, Inc. as an effective and perceptive neutral involving mediations, arbitrations and court appointed referee assignments.
Prior to taking the Bench, Flier was a trial attorney for eleven years with the Office of the District Attorney. He is a graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law, J.D., 1971 and University of California, Berkeley, B.A., Political Science in 1967.
